Here’s a floor plan for a midsized swine shed allowing for 12 pens and a generous central feed alley. Whereas in 1940 this might have featured substantial masonry construction, today many will find treated woods and metal siding to be slightly more economical. Building materials aside, the real value of this plan is in communicating something of the square footage optimal for hog housing.
